This weeks video features the test flight of the Terrafugia, the first flying car. The car operates at highway speeds but also has fold able aircraft wings that make flight possible. While the car still looks very much like an aircraft, it is still an amazing and innovative design that could lead to future production of hybrid air/land vehicles.

Ford FR500CJ Mustang victorious in NHRA debut

Ford’s FR500 Mustang turnkey racecars are off to a great start in 2009. The FR500C took two of the three top spots in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge opener at Daytona, and this week at the NHRA Winternationals the FR500CJ Cobra Jet captured a debut win in the AA Stock Eliminator class.The win didn’t come without its challenges, though, as rain delayed the competition for several days and made for an inconsistent racetrack. The victory seemed to be fated, however, what with the original Cobra Jet also winning its debut back in 1968 at the Winternationals with legendary racer Al Joneic behind the wheel. More details in the press release after the break, and new photos in the high-res gallery below.

For those who didn’t know the Cobra Jet is a purpose built drag mustang from Ford. Each car comes standard with a 5.4L supercharged V8 producing 400 horsepower, 6-speed manual transmission (optional automatic), and a drag race wheel/tire combination.

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a great holiday season and happy new year! Sorry I haven’t been around lately but the holiday season has kept me extremely busy. Now that some of the stressfullness has subsided, I’m looking forward to getting back to more regular posting.

Insane Illegal Street High Speed Drifting!!!

This weeks video is some crazy guys drifting on public streets. I’m not sure how they didn’t get caught but some of the drivers are fairly impressive. If only they could keep it at the track.
